In Nebraska, Families Legally Abandon Teens
Nebraska "safe haven" law permits caretakers to drop children off without fear of prosecution. The maximum age under safe haven laws in other states is one, but Nebraska didn't set an age limit. This Saturday, an 11-year-old and a 15-year-old were left off by relatives.
