October 3, 2008 - Linford Detweiler and Karin Bergquist, the married couple at the heart of Over the Rhine, formed their band in 1990. At first, Over the Rhine was a standard rock group from Cincinnati. But over time — and 17 albums — it's evolved into an inventive, thought-provoking pop band with a cabaret feel and the flair of modern chamber music.

Over the Rhine's latest CD, The Trumpet Child, was helmed by famed Nashville producer Brad Jones (Matthew Sweet, Ron Sexsmith, Josh Rouse), who helps add elaborate arrangements of horns and strings to the band's indie-pop recipe.
