Jury selection begins Monday in a Miami federal court for the trial of terrorism suspect Jose Padilla. Padilla, a 36-year-old American citizen, was arrested almost five years ago upon his return to the United States from Pakistan.

The path from Padilla's arrest to a Florida courtroom has contained many twists and turns. Carol Williams of the Los Angeles Times discusses the case with Liane Hansen.
