Reverse Mortgages Popular As Portfolios Shrink

New rules go into effect Saturday that should remove some of the risk from reverse mortgages and make them more accessible. Demand for reverse mortgages has been growing as retirement accounts have been hit. Some retirees now must tap the value of their homes to maintain their standard of living.
