The Low Anthem.
November 17, 2008Three albums in, The Low Anthem again proves itself a quintessential purveyor of rootsy rock. Oh My God, Charlie Darwin celebrates the band's influences — Tom Waits, Neil Young, Bob Dylan — and captures The Low Anthem in a makeshift studio. The setting provides a raw, natural environment for sleepy songs and on-the-road ramblers.
Based in Philadelphia, WXPN takes listeners on a journey of music discovery through new and heritage rock, blues, roots, and folk artists. WXPN also produces NPR's World Cafe.
