Christiane Amanpour: Reporting On Genocide

Born in London to a British mother and an Iranian father, Christiane Amanpour speaks fluent English, Persian and French.
CNN's Christiane Amanpour has covered every major international and humanitarian crisis since the Gulf War. Now, in a new CNN documentary called Scream Bloody Murder, Amanpour focuses on genocide — and the people who are working to end mass killing worldwide.
Among those Amanpour interviews are an American who sought to protect the Iraqi Kurds, a Canadian general who refused to follow orders in Rwanda and a French priest who struggled for peace in Cambodia.
Amanpour is the chief international correspondent for CNN. She has won nine Emmy Awards for her news coverage.
