ALEX COHEN, host:

Time now for an oldie but goodie - the Day to Day shortlist. It's been a while since we've done one of these. The shortlist is sort of like a puzzle. See if you can figure out what connects the things in the following list presented by our senior producer Steve Proffitt.

STEVE PROFFITT: Tweeter, Mattress Discounters, Steve and Barry's, Boscov's, Lillian Vernon, Domain Home Furniture, Mrs. Fields, Progressive Auto Parts, Ziff Davis, Buffet, Polaroid, Bally's Total Fitness, Pilgrim's Pride, Hawaiian Telecom, IndyMac, Sharper Image. These are the names of some companies that filed for bankruptcy protection in 2008.
