Kane Welch Kaplin.
Kane Welch Kaplin is a collective of three individually successful songwriters and instrumentalists, but the group's joint efforts add up to more than just an ongoing side project. Featuring songwriters Kieran Kane, Kevin Welch and instrumentalist Fats Kaplin, the group has recorded three records of original material, each with a pared-down and deceptively simple approach to songwriting coupled with imaginative, thought-provoking lyrics.
Joined by Kane's son Lucas Kane on percussion, the group performs songs from its third, self-titled album here, as well as a look back at earlier material from 2006's Lost John Dean.
