The Real Connection Between Iran And Hamas

The Israeli government says that Iran has been helping to arm Hamas with rockets it has fired into southern Israel. That's among the reasons Israeli has cited for sending air strikes and troops into Gaza.

Host Scott Simon talks to two experts who have two different ideas about the connection between Iran and Hamas. Matthew Levitt, a senior fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, says Iran is definitely providing money and guns to Hamas. But Hillary Mann Leverett, a former Foreign Service officer who is CEO of Stratega, a political risk consulting firm, is more skeptical.
