Though The Guggenheim Grotto started off small in the local Dublin music scene, it was clear from the start that the duo's pleasant pop and folk melodies were destined to reach the ears of many. After "Philosophia" was offered as the free download of the week on iTunes in April of 2007, the band's debut album, Waltzing Alone quickly surged to the no. 1 downloaded folk album on iTunes, giving it the exposure it needed.

On The Guggenheim Grotto's upcoming sophomore album, the group stays fresh by adding more electronica glitches and beats to its original pop and folk backbone. Happy The Man begins with a brief track with an otherworldly, computerized voice that addresses the listener directly, offering an intriguing invocation. The beat that surfaces in the concluding seconds of "Intro" kicks off the following track, "Fee Da Da Dee." The sound continues to evolve and unpack. That said, Happy The Man flows gracefully from one track to the next, maintaining the same kind of subtle charm and soaring melodies that brought the band success with its first album.

After three years of successful touring stateside, to a dedicated fan base, The Guggenheim Grotto is a reminder that U2 and Enya are scarcely the only game in Ireland.
