Produced by Jamaica's legendary duo Sly & Robbie, Michael Franti and Spearhead's new album, All Rebel Rockers, channels Franti's politically motivated energy into a non-stop, reggae-fueled party. Though his musical influences seem boundless, Franti's own tunes are unmistakable, combining all forms of world music into a collage of ideas and rhythms.

In a session with host David Dye, Franti performs a song he wrote for his son and discusses his views of the recent election.

This segment originally ran Jan. 20, 2009.
