Professional Job Hopper Tries 50 Jobs In 50 Weeks

Daniel Seddiqui has explored many types of jobs in the past 19 weeks. Scroll down to see larger photos.
After failing 40 job interviews in a row, University of Southern California graduate Daniel Seddiqui decided it was time to try another tactic. He opted to open his mind to anything — no matter how irrelevant to his previously envisioned career path.
After a bunch of random gigs, he decided he liked the exploratory path and vowed to travel to all 50 states and try 50 different careers in 50 weeks. Working as a meatpacker in Topeka, Kan., and a rodeo announcer in Sioux Falls, S.D., are just two of his varied employment experiences thus far. (See photos below).
"The crazy thing is most of these jobs offered to hire me full time by the job's end," he tells Day to Day host Alex Cohen.
Currently on week 19, he says that he's most enjoyed his posts as a border patrol agent in Tucson, Ariz., a logger in Medford, Ore., and an archeologist in Fayetteville, Ark.
Indeed, his taxes will be complicated next year, but he's prepared for that too; one of his upcoming jobs is with the IRS.
You can read more about his experience on his blog, Living The Map.

Week 18: Archeologist, Fayetteville, Ark.

Week 17: Boilermaker, Kansas City, Mo.

Week 3: Rodeo announcer, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Week 16: Meatpacker, Topeka, Kan.
