DAVID GREENE, host:
Good morning. I'm David Greene.
In Pennsylvania, an effort to help gambling addicts is working well - too well for a 55-year-old man who has to give up a $2,000 jackpot. The man joined a program that helps you help yourself. You sign up, and the state promises not to let you gamble. Promise kept. The man snuck into a casino in Erie, won the jackpot, but officials found him on the list. As the program requires, the man got no money. He was simply charged with trespassing.
It's MORNING EDITION.
