OPHIRA EISENBERG, HOST:

We have our next two contestants: Xavier Avila and Joslyn Hansen ready to go.

(APPLAUSE)

EISENBERG: Xavier, you work in fashion.

XAVIER AVILA: Yep, I have my corgie socks on.

EISENBERG: You have your corgie socks on. So how would you describe your fashion sense?

AVILA: Brooklynish.

EISENBERG: Brooklynish.

(LAUGHTER)

AVILA: Passive aggressive.

EISENBERG: Passive aggressive.

(LAUGHTER)

EISENBERG: I understand what you're saying. Joslyn, you are a self-proclaimed mega fan of "American Idol."

JOSLYN HANSEN: I am.

EISENBERG: Give me your favorite song challenge.

HANSEN: Oh, big band. They haven't done that in years and years but that's where you get Kelly Clarkson doing stuff like that there. Season one, which I think was like her break out.

EISENBERG: Oh, yeah.

HANSEN: I like it when they really, really push them outside of their genres.

EISENBERG: Yeah.

HANSEN: Instead of just let them kind of you know...

EISENBERG: You've analyzed this. This is amazing.

HANSEN: Yes. Yes.

EISENBERG: Okay, excellent. Well, this game is entitled Celebrity AA Meeting, so naturally, Jonathan, you will be running this.

JONATHAN COULTON: Well, I don't - first of all, I don't know why you would say that to me.

(LAUGHTER)

COULTON: And second of all, I am too drunk, so I would appreciate it if...

(LAUGHTER)

EISENBERG: Puzzle drunk, everybody.

COULTON: Drunk on puzzles.

EISENBERG: It's okay. Drunk on puzzles. All right, fine. This game, Celebrity AA is about famous women whose first names end with A and whose last names start with A. For example, if the clue is she played Kelly Bundy on the television series "Married with Children," the answer we're looking for is Christina Applegate.

AVILA: Christina Applegate.

EISENBERG: Yeah, exactly. All right, let's do it. This actress gained fame for running in slow motion in a red swimsuit and for her marriages to Tommy Lee and Kid Rock.

(SOUNDBITE OF BELL)

EISENBERG: Joslyn?

HANSEN: Pamela Anderson.

EISENBERG: That is correct.

(APPLAUSE)

EISENBERG: That is the most public radio version of that question that we could dream up.

(LAUGHTER)

EISENBERG: For running in slow motion. She played Estelle Getty's daughter on "The Golden Girls."

(SOUNDBITE OF BELL)

EISENBERG: Joslyn?

HANSEN: Bea Arthur.

EISENBERG: Bea Arthur.

(APPLAUSE)

EISENBERG: She wrote the poem "On the Pulse of the Morning" for Bill Clinton's first presidential inauguration.

(SOUNDBITE OF BELL)

EISENBERG: Joslyn?

HANSEN: Maya Angelou.

EISENBERG: That is right.

(APPLAUSE)

EISENBERG: As Sean Connery's co-star in "Dr. No," she holds the title of being the first Bond girl.

(SOUNDBITE OF BELL)

EISENBERG: Joslyn?

HANSEN: Ursula Andress.

EISENBERG: That is correct.

(APPLAUSE)

AVILA: I'm so glad you're doing so well.

EISENBERG: She's a professional boxer whose father Muhammad wasn't a bad boxer himself.

(APPLAUSE)

EISENBERG: Xavier?

AVILA: Not Tatiana Ali.

EISENBERG: No.

AVILA: The one that punches people.

EISENBERG: Yeah.

(LAUGHTER)

EISENBERG: But you're on the right track.

AVILA: Close.

EISENBERG: Okay, Joslyn, can you steal?

(SOUNDBITE OF BELL)

HANSEN: Laila Ali.

EISENBERG: Laila Ali is correct.

(APPLAUSE)

EISENBERG: This designer turned English country living into an international fashion brand known for its pastel floral patterns.

(SOUNDBITE OF BELL)

EISENBERG: Xavier?

AVILA: Laura Ashley.

EISENBERG: Yes, of course.

(APPLAUSE)

EISENBERG: This pop star and reality television judge was like a genie in the bottle as a Mouseketeer in the 1990s.

(SOUNDBITE OF BELL)

EISENBERG: Xavier?

AVILA: Christina Aguilera.

EISENBERG: Yes, that's right. Beautiful.

(APPLAUSE)

EISENBERG: Puzzle guru, John Chaneski?

JOHN CHANESKI: Well, Xavier put up a big fight at the end there, but the one who gets straight A's with this game is Joslyn. Congratulations, Joslyn.

(APPLAUSE)

EISENBERG: Xavier, thank you so much, great contestant. Joslyn, you'll be coming back for our Ask Me One More final round at the end of the show.
