STEVE INSKEEP, host:

And let's go from moving freight to moving the mail.

(Soundbite of song, "Come Fly with Me")

Mr. FRANK SINATRA (Singer): (Singing) Come fly with me, let's take off in the blue.

INSKEEP: And today's last word in business comes from the Chairman of the Board. Today, the U.S. Postal Service releases its Frank Sinatra stamp. It comes out just ahead of the 10th anniversary of the singer's death.

There will be ceremonies in New York, of course, Las Vegas, of course, and Hoboken, New Jersey, of course. That's where Sinatra was born.

The picture chosen for the stamp is based on a 1950s photo of the Frank Sinatra wearing his trademark fedora.

Ms. NANCY SINATRA (Frank Sinatra's daughter): We knew that the people would want the hat and the big keyboard grin, you know.

INSKEEP: Frank Sinatra's daughter Nancy says she was thrilled about the choice, except for one thing. The original design was done in beige and sepia tones.

Ms. SINATRA: I said, wait a minute - where are the blue eyes? You've got to have the eyes!

INSKEEP: So the stamp changed. You will send letters with Old Blue Eyes.

(Soundbite of song, "I Only Have Eyes for You")

Mr. SINATRA: (Singing) 'Cause I only have eyes for you.

INSKEEP: And that's the business news on MORNING EDITION from NPR News. I'm Steve Inskeep.
