RENEE MONTAGNE, host:

Good morning, I'm Renee Montagne. The Tampa Bay Rays are waking up this morning in a historic hotel whose guests have included Olympic runner Jesse Owens and eight American presidents. It may be 50 miles from tonight's World Series game in Philadelphia, but the Hotel du Pont in Wilmington, Delaware, was the only one with 85 empty rooms when Game 5 was suspended for rain. The AP reports the team called 21 hotels before getting the last-minute booking at the elegant du Pont. It's Morning Edition.
