Does NPR offer transcripts at a reduced rate or at no charge for hearing impaired individuals?

If you are hearing impaired and would like to request a transcript of an NPR story or program, please contact NPR at 202-513-3232 through a relay operator. The following information should be made available to the NPR customer service representative who answers your call:

1. The subject of the program segment you are looking for;

2. The name of the program during which the segment aired;

3. The date of the program during which the segment aired;

4. Your first and last name;

5. Your phone number; and

6. Your e-mail address.

NPR will send you the requested transcript via electronic mail.
