npr_guest: Thank you, it's nice to be here. (shuffling cards)

eloquent_athena asks: Do you think there is a possibility of Bush in the white house due to votes for Nader rather than Gore?

npr_guest: Yes. the cards indicate that there is a divesion of necessary votes and that cold be detrimental to the whole process.

npr_host: do you see a big voter turn out this year?

npr_guest: right now the card that shows up for that is a very big "if" the reason is that some poeple may feel like their vote does not count. Because of the Nader influence. He appears prominent somehow and it shows that people really do need to get out and do this because this is as close as it has been in a very long time.

npr_host: There are a lot of undecideds this year, will they make up their minds in time and which way will they go?

npr_guest: it shows that they will make up their minds much closer to the last minute. the energy surrounding that question is that it could go to Gore. As of today.

isla_princess asks: Does Gore need to win the big states in order to win the race?

npr_guest: Yes. Because he needs to have a very strong showing in the electoral college. that is crucial.

npr_host: If Bush wins, when will he face his first crisis?

npr_guest: His first crisis will be in the first year because he is ill-prepared. He has no concept of what it entails to be President.

npr_host: And Gore?

npr_guest: His first real crisis will be in the third year.

npr_host: And what will that be?

npr_guest: it appears as though this will be a crisis overseas. it could have something to do with war, but it definitely looks like a crisis at the same time as one here domestically. That's going to be his big challenge.

socrates_34 asks: Will a third party candidate become president anytime in the next 12 years?

npr_guest: right now it looks like that is a distinct possibility. that depends on the very next presidency. it looks to me like it can happen.

justagirl_22ca asks: So who do you think will ultimatley win this thing

npr_guest: I don't know if I like that one. Ultimately, it's hard to tell. Let's just say that when you ask a question to the Tarot, it takes a snapshot of the energy surrounding the question right then and there. It takes into account the past, the present, and it uses that to sum up the future. So, right now it appears as though energenically Al Gore is headed to the White House.

npr_host: We're talking with Tarot card reader Tim Boyd about the presidential race

rinpardee asks: Yankees or Mets?

npr_guest: Oh my. Presently, energenically, it looks like the Mets.

npr_host: Is Al Gore holding back any big secrets

npr_guest: No, it appears that he is not. he is trying to portray as honestly as he can his agenda.

npr_host: And Bush?

npr_guest: Bush is holding back. This is because the moon card is there and that's a deception card. Also, it appears as though he has no particulars to his plan and it appears as though he is really listening to three different groups of people. making it difficult for him to get his plan set.

npr_host: We're talking with Tarot card reader Tim Boyd. Send in your questions about the presidential race

isla_princess asks: What is Bush holding back?

npr_guest: he is holding back on his plans for foreign policy as well as particulars in domestic policy, and I'm getting birth card, that makes me think about the abortion issue.

galapino asks: any unexpected thing going to happen to dramatically change the current polls...for either part?

npr_guest: I don't forsee any earth shaking surprises.

galapino asks: if bush hd a moon card, what card did Gore have?

npr_guest: He had a sun card in the same place that Bush had a moon card. that means that Gore is trying his best to put his agenda out there as plainly and as positively as he can. The moon card is a card of illusion. that's the card of pulling the wool over people's eyes, trying to make them think he has a plan.

isla_princess asks: So, do you think Bush is going to do somthing about the abortion pill and its recent approval?

npr_guest: the moon card is there again. it also appears as though there are several groups that he is listening to on this. Again, not listening to his own mind. It appears as though he may work against it.

txsmurf_78702 asks: will bush be good with race relations
npr_guest: I'm getting yes he will.

galapino asks: why couldnt the moon card mean information withheld from bush?

npr_guest: because in the position that the moon card was in, it showed Bush himself. as the moon card. meaning he is the one that's referred to.

galapino asks: Has the FOOL or MAGICIAN come up in your spread?

npr_guest: they just did when you asked me if he would be good in race relations - i got the magician card. it means yes, it also means that he can take a deal and make something really good out of it. (shuffling)

mandahrose asks: If bush becomes President, will he try to stop such middle-class helpers such as the Head Start program, or reduced priced lunches?

npr_guest: the answer is the empress card and that's yes.

Huel13 asks: Will Nader get 5% of the overall vote?

npr_guest: it appears as though yes. this is the way the energy is lining up today.

galapino asks: right, about the magician.....he has all the tools to make things work! Has Hierophant come up on Gore side?

npr_guest: yes actually it did. it was the very first card in a spread I did. showing that he's listening to the masses, the people out there. he's taking them into consideration in all that he's doing, it appears. As well as having himself firmly planted in the government. He's a politician. it shows that he knows how to deal within the government. he's very well versed in how to deal with this government.

txsmurf_78702 asks: same race relation question, but this time find out how gore will do

npr_guest: it appears as though all of his cards are positive on that. he will keep an open communication going. he'll give people in minorities a very comfortable feeling. he's not going to be able to meet everybody's needs but he's going to address them and do positive things in each of the categories.

npr_host: Thank you for joining us. It's been a blast!

npr_guest: thank you very much for allowing me to be with you. I've enjoyed it.

npr_host: Our next guest is astrologer and psychologist Glenn Perry. Welcome

npr_guest: hello
npr_host: What's the big picture you see from reading both candidates' chargts

npr_guest: Ok as afar as the big picture is concerned for each candidate has his sun in Aries so one dominant theme in his personality is going to be a sense of exuberance there's a part of Gore that can be competitive, aggressive, attacking bold, daring risk-taking however this is also balanced and seemingly contradicted by a very different quality symbolized by his moon -- in Capricorn. which gives him a cautious streak a certain underlying insecurity and a kind of wooden mechanical cool quality this is what I think gives Gore a certain image problem Capricorn tends to be rather often stoic, a bit rigid, sometimes dull it can appear artificial and overly formal however, it's also an extraordinarily responsible, determined, even driven sign. so there's an underlying conflict in Gore between a drive for public responsibility to do his own thing now let me move to bush's chart I'm giving a very light, rather superficial ... the thing that really pops out about Bush's chart as the press always says Bush comes across as enormously likeable like Gore he also has Leo rising so in that regard both candidates on the surface can demonstrate Leo qualities -- affable, magnanimous, heroic, positive, a bit showy, proud, sometimes defensive if they feel slighted -- easily offended -- however, Bush wears that Leo enegery much more comfortably than Gore does because it's complimented by his moon in Libra. Like Leo, Libra tends to be enormously charming. They're the two most socially gracious signs of the Zodiac. So there's a social ease that Bush has where I think it's easier for Bush to be ingratiating more refined. Smooth. Bush also has his sun in the 12th house in the sign of Cancer. this gives him an underlying almost kind of hidden kind of sensitivity to his personality. cancer as a sign tends to be more dependent. it's softer, it's very receptive, intuitive, and caring. however, it's also easily influenced compliant, vacillating, and often indirect or even hidden in its behaviour. whatever problems Gore has with his personality there's an overall strength-- tremendous drive and initiative and an underlying depth and weightness to his personality which may make him more suited to dealing with the pressures, burdens and responsibilities of the office. or of the presidency. comparatively, bush's chart looks much weaker whereas he may compensate for that with an outward charm and dazzling personality with an easy charm and common touch I fear that when the going gets tough bush will be more inclined to collapse or panic than would gore.

galapino asks: What house will their signs be in on election day?

npr_guest: The charts of the election day do not give much useful information as to who will be elected in fact, both charts are remarkably ambiguous in that regard I wish I could be more helpful. But I'd be lying if i said the charts give a clear winner.

morphious_2052 asks: what good will either of them do that clinton has not done?

npr_guest: I don't know if there's an astrological answer to that question my guess if that we will all miss clinton a great deal more after he's gone.

geanie01_2000 asks: In which sign is Gore's moon and Bush's moon ?

npr_guest: Gores' moon is in capricorn. and bush's moon is in libra. in each case, their moon is conjunct to Jupiter. Meaning they were next to each other in the heavens when they were born. Jupiter tends to exaggerate and inflate. Jupiter is the planet of politics. In that it's about ideology. and about a striving for truth and justice. what's interesting in both cases is that they come from political families and family is ruled by the moon. So in each case, they came from very politically prominent families and were able to benefit from the social, financial and political connections as well as advice which they derived from their respective fathers.

npr_host: we're talking with astrologer Glenn Perry about the elections Do the candidates charts show that we're seeing the "real Gore" and the "real Bush"

npr_guest: I think in both cases perhaps more so than in previously presidential campaigns both of these candidates may have a slippery deceptive side to their personailties although I wouldn't say that it's consciously intended. I think that for Bush, his lightness and weakness and lack of depth and substance may not show up until after he assumes office. even as governor of texas, he was regarded as a weak governor because that was the way the politicla system was organized in texas. so one could argue that it wasn't bush's fault because the laws prvented him from having greater powers. in other words, Texas is weak-governor system. But his chart indicates that this is the kind fo system into which he might fit well working behind the scenes being more subservient to powerful interests to which he may easily comply. Gore on the other hand has a sun opposition Neptune. Neptune is the planet of selflessness of spirituality and of surrender to the larger whole or what some people call a god or a higher power. but because the sun has to do with boundaries of the self when the sun opposes Neptune there's often a very loosely defined sense of self so there's a conflict between selflessness and a kind of compensatory self-aggrandizement. it's as if he has a huge self or no self at all. so the rap on Gore is that it's hard to get a handle on him. he can reinvent himself and seemingly become like a chameleon -- whatever the situation requires. again, this is not necessarily conscious or purposefully exceptive., it's an almost unavoidable consequence. of the sun-neptune opposition. now this also gives gore greater vision, I believe, than Bush. I think that sometimes Gore wants to see himself in inflated heroic terms. a kind of warrior-politician fighting for the little guy, for the underdog. whether he's saving the world from the arms proliefration, global pollution, or other such threats or he's saving the dispossessed the marginalized and the victims of the world he sees himself and wants to be a savior.

MMBANEFO asks: How does the now present moon in Scorpio affecting the attitudes of voters and candidates now?

npr_guest: I think that in general, you must realize that the moon in scorpio in only there for 2 days. but during that time people may generally be a bit more suspicious cynical and looking for hidden information, cover-ups, covert actions and the like.

npr_host: thank you for joining us Glenn Perry!

npr_guest: it's been a pleasure.
