The CDC now recommends that people 50 and older get vaccinated against pneumonia

The number of people that have been diagnosed with a pneumonia-causing bacteria has increased over the past six months. Older people are at higher risk of pneumococcal diseases like pneumonia and meningitis.

‘A Houston icon’: Elizabeth Francis, the oldest-living person in U.S., dies at 115 years old

Francis was the third-oldest person in the world at the time of her death, according to a database on the world’s oldest people. Her validated age made her the 54th oldest person to ever live, and the 21st oldest American ever.
