Religious Right & Conventional Wisdom

Commentator Joe Loconte (luh-KAHN-tee) says critics of the role of the religious right at the GOP convention in San Diego may be pointing their criticism in the wrong direction. Christian activists are right to emphasize moral issues, but shouldn't create some sort of moral checklist for government. He says that the religious activists should focus their energy on persuasion, rather than just proclaiming moral truths.
