Beer Lobbyist
Lobbyists see the national political conventions as a perfect opportunity to party, network and be seen by the hundreds of politicians and business interests in attendance. Little of the work gets done on the convention floor. Instead, it's carried out at the hundreds of receptions, meetings and celebrations in the convention city. This week it's San Diego for David Rehr (RARE), chief lobbyist of the National Beer Wholesalers Association. In two weeks, he'll be in Chicago with the Democrats. NPR's Peter Overby reports.
