Pex Mex Christmas NPR's Mandalit Del Barco shares her childhood memories of growing up in Baldwin, Kansas and celebrating a multi-cultural Christmas. Christmas was filled with Dr. Seuss's "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas," tamales, and a Peruvian seafood soup. They had a Mexican nativity scene and sang traditional Peruvian and Mexican folksongs. All these cultures came together in a family surrounded by a community reminiscent of the Brady Bunch.
