NPR's John Burnett reports from Austin, Texas on how changes in the oil industry have allowed it to withstand this year's big drop in the price for crude oil. Oil companies have begun using sophisticated computer programs to help pinpoint hidden pockets of oil and gas. They're also using computer-guided drill bits that allow them to make precise movements thousands of feet down. The result has been fewer dry wells, more production, and a more efficient industry.
