The House votes on a Republican campaign finance reform bill tonight. Because of unusual parliamentary maneuvering, the bill will need a super-majority of two-thirds of the House for passage, which it is extremely unlikely to get. Also, Democrats will be prevented from bringing alternative legislation, modelled after the McCain-Feingold bill, to the floor. NPR's Peter Overby reports.
