Humanistic Judaism In Atlanta today, leaders of Jewish organizations from around the world concluded an annual conference called the General Assembly. The event has more than 5 thousand participants. Vice President Al Gore visited earlier in the week, and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak delivering an address on Friday. The General Assembly is designed for Jewish leaders to exchange ideas and discuss issues facing Jewish people. One prominent issue is pluralism, the acceptance of differences in belief among Jews. That's become more complex with the participation of a group that views Judaism as a cultural institution with no God. From Atlanta, NPR's Joshua Levs reports.
