Vice President Al Gore visited earlier in the week, and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak delivering an address on Friday. The General Assembly is designed for Jewish leaders to exchange ideas and discuss issues facing Jewish people. One prominent issue is pluralism, the acceptance of differences in belief among Jews.
