The House of Representatives today debated putting a deadline on U.S. participation in peace-keeping forces in Kosovo. Members said in floor debate they were primarily intent on pressuring European powers to bear more of the peace-keeping burden in the troubled Balkan region. Secretary of State Madeline Albright said the measure would represent a dangerous showing of impatience. NPR's Brian Naylor reports.
