NPR's Sara Chayes in Belgrade talks to Robert Siegel about a crackdown by Serbian authorities on independent media outlets today. They accuse the media of trying to overthrow the government. Police took over Studio B, the country's main opposition television station, shut down two independent radio stations and blocked journalists from entering the offices of the newspaper Blic. Thousands of people rallied in protest at the Belgrade city hall. Opposition leaders have called for a campaign of civil disobedience.
