Sri Lanka NPR's Michael Sullivan reports from Colombo on a new offensive by separatist Tamil guerillas against the Sri Lanka army on the Jaffna Penninsula. The Tamil Tigers isolated 40-thousand Sri Lanka troops on the Peninsula last month by cutting off their land routes to the rest of the country. They claim this is the "decisive battle" in their 17-year-long struggle to carve out a Tamil State on the mostly Buddhist Island of Sri Lanka.
