Clinton in Europe NPR's Mike Shuster reports in a two-way from Lisbon that President Clinton today began a week-long European tour with a visit to Portugal. Portuguese prime minister Antonio Guterres briefed Mr. Clinton on his recent talks with Russia's president, Vladimir Putin. Mr. Clinton himself will meet with Mr. Putin in Moscow later in the week. Before Moscow, the President will stop in Germany, where he'll hold talks with German officials and Israel's prime minister, who will also be attending a conference in Berlin.
