Duluth Lynching Anniversary
Audio will be available later today.
Minnesota Public Radio's Chris Julin reports on shameful and largely forgotten piece of history from 1920, when a mob of 10,000 lynched three black circus workers in Duluth, Minnesota. A famous photograph of the event was made into postcards, but then the incident went largely unreported, never making into history books until recent investigations. The town that kept the secret for two generations, is now paying tribute to the slain men. (7:15) Visit Minnesota Public Radio for more information.
