Male and Female Athletes

NPR's Barbara Bradley reports on a lawsuit filed in federal court that challenges the government's interpretation of Title Nine, the law that attempts to increase sports opportunities for female students. The suit filed by a men's coaching association and three universities says the current interpretation was adopted without proper procedures and requires schools to have equal male and female sports participation. The plaintiffs say the law only requires equal opportunities.
