Enron Hearings: House Congress kicked off what is likely to be a long investigation into the collapse of Enron and related matters with two hearings today, one in the House and one in the Senate. The House panel focused on Enron's auditor Arthur Andersen. NPR's Emily Harris reports that House subcommittee members didn't get much of what they were after. Members tried to determine whether high-level Andersen accounting executives had any responsibility for the shredding of Enron documents. As expected, former Andersen accountant David Duncan refused to testify.
