Germany - Terrorism Trial
NPR's Guy Raz reports that five Algerian men went on trial today in Frankfurt, Germany, on terrorism charges. Four were accused in an unsuccessful bomb plot in Strasbourg, France, two years ago. Prosecutors say all five were linked to al Qaeda. In a separate case, German police today detained and then released a suspect in connection with an explosion that killed 16 people — including 10 German tourists — in Tunisia last week.
