Dog Physics John Ydstie talks to NPR Science Correspondent Richard Harris about a dispute between two of our listeners. Yesterday, we read on air a letter that stated: "My DOG has a greater gravitational pull on me that Saturn does." The issue came up in response to astrologers claiming a planetary alignment would effects events on Earth. Today, another listener disputed that, saying that, in fact, the effect of the planet's gravity exceeds that of the dog. Harris explains the second listener is correct, unless the dog in on your lap.
