Zacarias Moussaoui's Defense NPR's Barbara Bradley reports on today's demand by accused Sept. 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui that he be allowed to defend himself. At a hearing in the jail space in which he's being held, Moussaoui said his court-appointed lawyers and the judge were working against him. He demanded that he be allowed to defend himself, or hire a Muslim attorney. Moussaoui, a French citizen, said he prayed for the destruction of the United States, Israel and Russia.
