Lawsuits Prompt Wall St. Reform
NPR's Chris Arnold reports that several of the largest securities firms may meet soon to create agreeable reform policies for Wall Street. But some observers suspect that the companies may not be willing to comply with the more probing mandates from state regulators. Firms have been racked with millions of dollars in settlements, have scores of shareholder lawsuits to wade through, and face general market skepticism from investors - all impetus to initiate reform and save corporate names.
