N. Korea Nuclear Program The United States now says it is willing to talk to N. Korea to try to resolve the crisis over the North's nuclear weapons program. Previously, Washington had ruled out direct talks until North Korea abandoned its efforts to build the bomb. The new U.S. position represents a minor compromise.
