The U.S., the U.N. and Weapons Inspections
The United States is trying to make sure that the ongoing weapons inspections in Iraq do not delay a decision on whether to use force there. Top U.N. inspectors have said they need more time to reach conclusions about whether Baghdad is cooperating, and they want to present another report on the matter in March. The United States does not want to defer a decision on force until then. Meanwhile, the top two U.N. inspectors, who travel to Baghdad this weekend, have warned Iraq it must do much more to help the inspection process. NPR's Vicky O'Hara reports.
