We start with the young Chinese pianist Lang Lang. He spent some time in the studio in March. First, we hear the Etude, Op. 42, No. 3 by Alexander Scriabin, followed by Brahms's Intermezzo, Op. 118, No. 2. Then he moves on to a Chinese folk song called "The Competition of the Two Horses." Lang Lang performs this last piece with his father, who plays the er-hu, a traditional Chinese instrument.
