Dustin Hoffman has spent his career creating unforgettable characters onscreen: The Graduate's aimless Benjamin; Tootsie's cross-dressing actor; Rain Man's savant Raymond. In an interview with NPR's Neal Conan, Hoffman discusses his favorite film roles, his new book project -- and whether he cries when watching Kramer vs. Kramer.
Hoffman's new book is called Now Showing: Unforgettable Moments from the Movies. Appropriately enough, the scene from The Graduate in which Mrs. Robinson seduces Hoffman's character Benjamin is among the memorable film moments selected.
