In Egypt, Comics Laud Arabic Heroes
Once a bastion of Western culture, comic books have been created from scratch in Egypt that feature Middle Eastern super-heroes. While some of the art may seem familiar to American eyes. But the names -- and super-powers -- may not. Among the characters: Jalila, Defender of City of All the Faiths; Rakan the Lone Warrior; and Zein the Last Pharaoh.
