Oldest Couples Duke It Out over Guinness Record There's competition for the title of the world's oldest married couple. The Guinness Book of World Records listed Herbert and Magda Brown of Philadelphia.. who have a combined 205 years on earth. Now they face a challenge from Japan. Yoichi and Kazono Gomi held a news conference to say they're 104 and 103. That's a total of 207 years. The husband explained his longevity by saying, "You have to want to be alive."
