No Smoking... Even On Stage?
An Italian actor was following the script instructions when he lit up a cigarette on stage. He was acting in the Arthur Miller play A View from the Bridge. But somebody at the performance in Rome didn't like the view from the audience. A woman shouted out for the actor to put out his cigarette. The disruption stopped the play. The cast took a 15-minute timeout. They revised the script. And when they resumed, the protagonist was no longer a smoker.
