Enron Founder Kenneth Lay Dies
Kenneth Lay, the founder of Enron Corp., will not go to jail for his role in the collapse of the Houston-based firm. He died today, apparently of a heart attack, at his vacation home in Colorado. Lay, who was 64, was awaiting sentencing and was expected to face a lengthy prison term for his fraud and conspiracy conviction. The feds were trying to get Lay and Enron ex-CEO Jeffrey Skilling to hand over nearly $183 million in ill-gotten gains. Question: Does Ken Lay's estate still have to fork over the money?
