Give a Dog a Bone... Make no bones about it... Grover Krantz loved his dogs. A feature in today's Washington Post says the legendary anthropologist donated his skeleton to the Smithsonian's Museum of Natural History -- on the condition that the museum keep his skeleton WITH those of his dogs. The Smithsonian agreed, and now the bones of Krantz, Clyde, Icky and Yahoo rest together in adjoining drawers of the same cabinet in the museum. The Post says that in the drawer with Clyde's bones is the memoir Krantz wrote about his beloved Irish Wolfhound. It's called Only a Dog.
