With midterm elections less than five weeks away, House races around the country are heating up. And in many instances, things are getting ugly, as voters are confronted with negative ads.
North Carolina's 11th District House race pits incumbent Republican Charles Taylor against a high-profile Democratic challenger, former NFL quarterback Heath Shuler. In a district with a large number of unaffiliated voters, both parties are pumping money and volunteers into the campaign.
