STEVE INSKEEP, host:

If you're going into debt for a new car, you at least want it to be reliable. Consumer Reports is out with its annual car reliability survey for 2007, and it says 39 of the 47 most reliable vehicles are Japanese; only six are U.S.-made models.

Among the domestic cars that did make the list are the Ford Fusion and the Mercury Milan. They scored slightly better than the Honda Accord V6 and the Toyota Camry V6.
