Journalist Bill Moyers returns to PBS April 25 with Bill Moyers Journal; the first episode "Buying the War," a 90-minute examination of the role of the press in the run-up to the Iraq War.

Moyers talks to Terry Gross about the journalists he interviewed for the special, about the startling inside-the-newsroom deliberations he learned about, and about the psychology that encouraged most of the Washington press corps to buy into the Bush administration's arguments for war.

He also discusses a controversial study, commissioned by the former head of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, designed to assess whether Now with Bill Moyers exhibited a liberal bias.
