Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is getting some help from the United States and the European Union, days after Hamas took control of the Gaza Strip.

Their strategy is called the "West Bank First" effort.

Mustapha Barghouti was the Minister of Information for the former Palestinian National Unity Government. That was before the split with the Hamas leadership. He discusses the strategy with Madeleine Brand.
