Ward Connerly — an activist who has long fought to end racial preferences — is back with a new initiative, challenging race and gender-based affirmative action in five states.

He joins Farai Chideya to explain the effort he calls "Super Tuesday for Equality."

Connerly is the founder of the American Civil Rights Institute, an organization devoted to ending racial and gender considerations in admissions and hiring.
